Murray is a home rule-class city[4] in Calloway County, Kentucky, United States. It is the seat of Calloway County[5] and the 19th-largest city in Kentucky.[6] The city's population was 17,307 during the 2020 U.S. census,[7] and its micropolitan area's population is 37,191. Murray is a college town and is the home of Murray State University.
