Sosnovsky District (Russian: Сосно́вский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the northern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,112 square kilometers (815 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Dolgoderevenskoye.[1] Population: 60,941 (2010 Census);[3] 58,570 (2002 Census);[5] 54,328 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Dolgoderevenskoye accounts for 12.6% of the district's total population.[3]
