The State College Area School District (SCASD) is a large, suburban and rural public school district based in State College, Pennsylvania.

The district's territory includes the borough of State College, Pennsylvania, and the surrounding townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, and Patton. It also includes a portion of Benner Township.[2] State College Area School District encompasses approximately 150 square miles (390 km2). According to 2008 local census data, the district served a resident population of 86,106. This district operates nine elementary schools, three secondary schools (two middle schools and one high school), one democratic program of choice (middle and high school,) and four public charter schools.
