@ admin: I am user / contributor formally moniquestern I have resubscribed as Gevurach so that I can lodge 2 formal complaints.

First: I received my first second and final 'stop spamming warning' and was blocked - all on the same day. How on earth was I expected to address the issues if I was effectively given NO WARNING!

Second: The spamming protocols are expressly intended to prevent the addition of INAPPROPRIATE external links, (described as: personal web sites, (which this is not), product selling pages (which these were not), and promotional material for products or companies, (which these were not).

The links that I added, (35 in total I believe) were all to specific and strictly appropriate material. Well researched, historic interviews, transcripts, biographies and editoral There were no links to retail pages or product descriptions - not one. There were no links to information about a company. (except those historically pertinent ones such as Thonet and Knoll - in which I and my sponsor have absolutely no interests).

The site itself sells stuff, but these pages and this section of the site do not. Most web sites today are multifunctional - and can not be simply categorized... it is part of the beauty and diversity of the internet that this should be so. Most museums and public archives, most historic resources sell stuff too: The London design museum, the Victoria and Albert museum etc etc. You could not possibly imply that the information that they care to provide on their web sites is less valuable as a result!!

The research and copy had a corporate sponsor, (as most research does), but that certainly does not make this tremendous resource any less valuable.

My secondary research and copywriting was sponsored because I am a professional copywriter, and am personnally related to one of the original Bauhaus architects and therefor have an interest in and access to research on this period. I would hope that would make me a resource - not a problem.

Please consider these points and advise.

Comment Remarkable that on all these subjects, it seems the only relevant website you could find to add was your own, a website which, just by coincidence, and not your intention at all, also has commercial content. Yeah. Fan-1967 18:01, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Comment You absolutely may not add links to any commercial website with which you are associated in any way. I find it hard to believe that you do not understand the difference between a museum and a furniture store.

Please feel free to formally release the copyright on the material to the public domain and add the information directly to the articles, since you seem to be motivated by other than financial concerns. Please be aware that you need to cite your references. -THB 18:10, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Actually these were not the only external links that I added - they were just the only ones you chose to delete.

I deleted all of the ones that I could find that violated the policies of this encyclopedia that had not already been deleted by others. If you don't want to play by the rules, then don't play at all.
