Power metal je podžanr heavy metala.

Glavna karakteristika pjesama je melodičnost, a stihovi se najčešće temelje na znanstvenoj fantastici, mitovima, fantastici i povijesnim temama. Kai Hansen, gitarist i bivši pjevač njemačkog power metal sastava Gamma Ray, često je nazivan "ocem power metala".

With something as popular as synthwave making a resurgence, it's both fun and interesting to see this style reimagined and reinvented for a brand new audience. Metalheads and synthwave listeners can come together in the wake of this new hybrid of music
