Baku (Azerbaijani: Bakı), the capital and largest city of Azerbaijan, is situated on the western coast of the Caspian Sea, along the Absheron Peninsula. Known as the "City of Winds," Baku is the cultural, economic, and political hub of Azerbaijan.
