Gardner Francis Cooper Fox [ 1] (May 20, 1911 – December 24, 1986)[ 2] was an American comics writer. He was known best for creating many comic book characters for DC Comics . He created Hawkman , The Flash , The Justice League , Batgirl and Doctor Fate .
Fox was born in New York City . He died on December 25, 1986 in Princeton, New Jersey from pneumonia at the age of 75.[ 3]
