The Popular Resistance Committees is a group of Palestinian militant groups which are against the Palestinian Authority and Fatah because of its willingness to work with Israel.
The group is now most active in the Gaza Strip, due to its military group, the Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades present there.[3] The group was created in 2000 by former Fatah member Jamal Abu Samhadana, and the group's members are mainly former members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and is allegedly supported by Hezbollah. The current leader of the group is Ayman al-Shashniya.[4]
