A national military infobox may be used to summarize information about a country's military and armed forces. The infobox should be added using the {{infobox national military}} template, as shown below:
Note: When using parameters, avoid the ambiguous abbreviation "N/A", and instead use "unknown" or "none". All subjective or qualitative judgements and numerical quantities or statistics must be cited to a reliable source (see WP:MILMOS#CITE).
country – optional – The name of the country.
name – optional – The name of the country's armed forces, if different from "Military of Country".
native_name – optional – The name of the country's armed forces in that country's official language(s), if other than English.
image – optional – An image relevant to the county's armed forces. It should be given in the form Example.jpg.
image_size – optional – Used to override the default image size. It should be given in the form 300px.
alt – optional – Alternative text for visually impaired users, see WP:ALT.
caption – optional – The text to be placed below the image.
image2 – optional – A secondary image relevant to the county's armed forces. It should be given in the form Example.jpg.
image_size2 – optional – Used to override the default image size. It should be given in the form 300px.
alt2 – optional – Alternative text for visually impaired users, see WP:ALT.
caption2 – optional – The text to be placed below the secondary image.
founded – optional – The date when the armed forces were founded.
current_form – optional – In cases where the armed forces have undergone major reorganizations, the date when they took their current form.
disbanded – optional – The date when the armed force were disbanded.
branches – optional – The service branches (e.g. army, navy, air force, etc.) that comprise the armed forces.
headquarters – optional – The headquarters of the armed forces.
flying_hours – optional – The hours flown by the armed forces' air arm, if any.
website or url – optional – The official website, use {{URL}}.
Leadership parameters:
commander-in-chief – optional – The name of the formal commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
commander-in-chief_title – optional – The formal title of the commander-in-chief named above; this defaults to "Commander-in-Chief" if left blank.
chief minister – optional – The name of the person expected to be the supreme executive decision maker, to be used if the formal commander-in-chief is a figurehead or if that position is under normal circumstances expected to be nominal (e.g. in a constitutional monarchy or a parliamentary republic).
chief minister_title – optional – The formal title of the official named above; this defaults to "De facto leader" if left blank.
minister – optional – The name of the official (generally a civilian minister or secretary) responsible for all or most of the armed forces.
minister_title – optional – The formal title of the official named above; this defaults to "Minister of Defense" if left blank.
chief_of_staff – optional – The senior-most military officer in the Armed Forces and is the principal military advisor to the commander in chief.
chief_of_staff_title – optional – the formal title of the military officer named above; this defaults to "Chief of Staff" if left blank.
commander – optional – The highest ranked career professional of the armed forces.
commander_title – optional – the formal title of the military officer named above; this defaults to "Chief of Defense" if left blank.
Manpower parameters:
age – optional – The minimum (and, if applicable, maximum) ages for military service.
conscription – optional – The conscription age and term.
manpower_data – optional – The source of the manpower data; for example, if the data is a 1998 estimate, this should be indicated as "1998 est.".
manpower_age – optional – The ages assumed for the manpower data; for example, if the data considers people of age 15–49 to be of military age, this should be indicated as "15–49".
available – optional – The total number of people of the proper age for military service; this may indicate either males and females together, or only males if the available_f field is used.
available_f – optional – For countries that allow female military service, the total number of females of the proper age; if this field is used, the available field should only indicate males.
fit – optional – The total number of people of the proper age fit for service; this may indicate either males and females together, or only males if the fit_f field is used.
fit_f – optional – For countries that allow female military service, the total number of females of the proper age fit for service; if this field is used, the fit field should only indicate males.
reaching – optional – The total number of people reaching military age each year; this may indicate either males and females together, or only males if the reaching_f field is used.
reaching_f – optional – For countries that allow female military service, the total number of females reaching military age each year; if this field is used, the reaching field should only indicate males.
active – optional – The total number of personnel currently in the country's armed forces.
reserve – optional – The total number of reserve personnel in the country's armed forces.
deployed – optional – The total number of personnel currently deployed outside the country's borders.
Financial parameters:
amount – optional – The country's total military expendiures.
percent_GDP – optional – The percent of the country's GDP spent on military expenditures.
Industrial parameters:
domestic_suppliers – optional – The major domestic suppliers of equipment to the country's armed forces.
foreign_suppliers – optional – The major foreign suppliers of equipment to the country's armed forces; this may be either countries or more specific organizations.
imports – optional – The total value of annual military imports by the country.
exports – optional – The total value of annual military exports by the country.
