Ang eskudo ng Belise ay pinagtibay noong kasarinlan, at ang kasalukuyang coat of arms ay bahagyang naiiba sa ginamit noong Belize ay isang British colony (ang Union Jack ay inalis na , at pinalitan ng Mestizo na mangangahoy ang isa sa mga sumusuportang Afro-Belizean na mga woodcutter).^[1]^[2]

Ang pabilog na hangganan ng amerikana ay nabuo ng 25 dahon. Sa loob ng bilog ay isang mahogany na puno, sa harap nito ay isang kalasag na tierced sa bawat pall na baligtad. Sa loob ng kalasag ay ang mga kasangkapan ng isang woodcutter sa itaas na mga seksyon at isang barko sa ibaba. Ito ay simbolo ng kahalagahan ng mahogany noong ika-18 at ika-19 na siglo Belizean economy.^[3]

Nagtatampok ang flag of Belize ng eskudo sa gitna nito.
