Avola (Italian: [ˈaːvola]; Sicilian: Àvula/Àula, becoming Ràvula/Ràula if preceded by vowel;[citation needed] Latin: Abola) is a city and comune in the province of Syracuse, Sicily (southern Italy).[4]
